Lobster in Halifax
Before we had even left Canada, a sign in the Halifax Airport lobby informed us that "Yes! You can take lobster on the plane with you!"
Later, after I had passed through security, I was wandering around the notably deserted departures lounge area (not a busy airport, Halifax) and noticed an event happening outside. So I snapped a few pics. Those boxes that the ground crew is stuffing into the cockpit window are lobster boxes! This seems hopelessly ghetto to me.

Much lobster munching mid-flight, I guess. That's rather insane, actually. I didn't know those windows were able to open. I guess the pilots might get warm at 63,000 ft.

I suspect that opening the windows at 63,000 feet -- while travelling at 500+ km/h -- with outside temperatures of -50C or so -- would be ill-advised.
But then, _I've_ never done it.
